Bijuwar (Pyuthan), Oct. 20: A woman died in Pyuthan after an overflowed stream swept her away in Pyuthan. 28-year-old Devisara Karki of Mandavi Rural Municipality-4, Aapchaur died after AranKhola stream swept her away.
Police Inspector Devi Prasad Gaire of Pyuthan District Police informed that Devisara Karki’s two-year-old son Dinesh Karki and another local Madhu Adhikari’s eight-year-old daughter Anushka Adhikari had gone missing in the stream. According to Gaire, the stream had swept them away on Wednesday morning while they were heading towards hospital.
The police recovered Devisara’s body from Dhikawan in Mandavi-2. Gaire said that a team of police and the locals were working jointly in order to search the missing children. The flow of river and streams in the district had increased due to the incessant rainfall from Monday.
