By Laxman Datta Panta, Mahendranagar, Oct. 19: A Helicopter is coming to rescue the flood victims that have been trapped from Monday night. "Those trapped in the floods in the middle of the Mahakali River will be rescued by helicopter," said Purna Joshi, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of the Far Western Province.
"A helicopter has already taken off from Surkhet, it will reach here soon." Minister Joshi, who reached the flood-affected area of Kanchanpur, said, "People are trapped in Mahakali. Such news has also come from the hilly region. We will rescue."
Pushkar Nayak, 35, Dirghamati Khadka, 45, Shanti Nayak, 32, Ashok Nayak, 9, and Ajay Nayak, 5, of Bhimdatta Municipality-9 Masetti have been trapped in the flood since Monday night. Trapped in the middle of the river on their way back to Nepal from India, they are sitting on a rock in the middle of the river.
