By Gokarna Dayal, Baitadi, Nov. 24: As many as five people have been killed while six others have sustained injuries in a jeep accident that took place at Jhulaghat in Baitadi.
The jeep with registration no. Na 1 Jha 2196 en route to the district headquarters from Jhulaghat met with an accident near Budda Jhal in the afternoon on Tuesday.
The deceased who lost their lives on the spot, have been identified as Kalawati Chand, Bhagirath Pandeya, Parvati Devi Chand, Parvati Chand and Krishna Lawad, informed the police.

Similarly, Rabindra Chand, Pradip Lawad, Khagendra Joshi, Krishnananda Bhatt and two others were injured in the incident.
Police informed that the reason of the accident was yet to be ascertained.
The jeep driver absconded after the accident, according to the police.
