By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 27: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Thursday confirmed eight COVID-19 deaths across the nation.
Five females and three males succumbed to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
A 65-year old female of Lalitpur, a 23-year old female of Bara, 32-year-old female of Kaski, two females, aged 70, of Rupandehi and Banke, a 48-year-old male of Kathmandu, a 60-year-old male of Parsa and a 50-year-old male of Kapilvastu, who were infected with the novel coronavirus, died in the last 24 hours.
With this, the COVID-19 death toll of Nepal has reached 183 and the death rate stands at 0.52 per cent.
