By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 21: CPN (Unified Socialist) has decided to vote against the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact.
The MCC has been tabled in the parliament.
Jagannath Khatiwada, chief of the publicity department of the party, informed after the central secretariat meeting of the party that the meeting decided to stand against the MCC proposal.
"Our party's position on the MCC as tabled in the parliament yesterday is clear. We stand against it, we will vote against it and create a similar environment," said Khatiwada.
He said the secretariat meeting will continue tomorrow as well as today's meeting could not draw a conclusion on all issues including the ruling coalition.
He said the party will not side with the MCC and time will determine whether to remain the government or leave it.
