First National Conference of CPN (Maoist Center)
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 24: The meeting of the Standing Committee of the CPN (Maoist Center) held today has finalized the number and name list of the representatives to take part in the first national conference slated to be held on December 26-28 in Kathmandu.
Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the spokesperson of the CPN (Maoist Center), informed that the standing committee meeting verified the names and numbers of the representatives sent from the regular process and the number is 1,483, which also include the organisers, senior communist forum, and central advisors.
He said that the meeting also decided to increase the number of nominations from 5 to 10 per cent so as to accommodate those entering the party through unity and other processes.
The responsibility of nomination has been handed over to party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.
The standing committee is also scheduled for 1 pm tomorrow for holding more discussion on the political report presented by chair Prachanda for submitting to the national conference.
