By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 9: A standing committee meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) has decided to increase the number of office-bearers of the provincial committees.
"The meeting decided to increase the number to nine from existing seven," informed Maoist Center spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara.
There will be a Chair, three vice-chair, a secretary, three sub-secretary, and a treasurer in the provincial committee.
The meeting also decided to increase the number of members in a provincial committee of the party based on constituency and local levels.
Spokesperson Mahara said there will be 259 members in Province 1 provincial committee, 275 in Bagmati, 229 in Gandaki, 253 in Lumbini, 211 in Karnali, and 223 in Sudur Paschim provincial committee.
The CPN (Maoist Center) is holding its provincial conference on December 11.
