By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 4: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 259 new cases of COVID-19 today.
In 7,687 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 259 persons were identified with the virus infection, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
The new cases were detected in districts such as Sunsari, Jhapa, Morang, Siraha, Saptari, Sarlahi, Mahottari, Dhanusa, Bara, Parsa, Bhaktapur, Kathmandu, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Rasuwa, Rautahat, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Dolakha, Kaski, Syangja, Rupandehi, Banke, Bardiya, Dang, Surkhet, Dailekh, Kanchanpur, Achcham, Bajhang.
The recovery rate stands at 71.5 per cent.
With this, the nation's COVID-19 caseload has reached 21,009 including 15,026 cases of recovery and 58 deaths.
