By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan. 3: As many as 291 people have been found infected with the novel coronavirus in the PCR test of swab samples of 9,707 people across the country in the last 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 35 people were also found infected with the same virus that causes COVID-19 in the antigen test of 2,798 people.
Meanwhile, 255 people got over the virus infection whereas two persons succumbed to it. Nepal's COVID-19 death toll has reached 11,598 to date.
There are 5,005 active cases of the novel coronavirus in the country.
According to the MoHP, 344044 people were administered the vaccines against the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
