By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov. 6: With 2,909 new cases of the novel coronavirus confirmed on Friday, Nepal's COVID-19 tally has spiked to 188,883.
According to the daily report of the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), currently there are 34,905 active cases of COVID-19. Some 1,254 persons, mostly those who had returned from abroad, are placed in quarantine.
Meanwhile, some 4,500 COVID-19 patients either receiving treatment in various health facilities or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. With this, Nepal has recorded 152,908 cases of recoveries until now.
Moreover, 18 persons succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal's COVID-19 death toll has now reached 1070.
