By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 14: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 116 COVID-19 cases today.
Of the 4,361 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests performed in 25 laboratories in the last 24 hours, 116 people were found with the virus infection, said Dr Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
The new cases were detected in Dhankuta, Siraha, Sunsari, Terhathum, Illam, Jhapa, Dhanusa, Mahottari, Parsa, Gorkha, Nuwakot, Kathmandu, Nawalparasi (East), Rautahat, Sindhuli, Kavre, Okhaldhunga, Kailali, Palpa, Sindhupalchowk, Surkhet, Pyuthan, Banke, Bardiya, Dang, Ropla, Argakhanchi, Dailekh, Achcham, Jumla and Kanchanpur.
Meanwhile, 34 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment at various health facilities nationwide were discharged in the last 24 hours after recovering from the virus infection. The recovery rate now stands at 60.53 per cent.
Currently, there are 6,695 active COVID-19 cases and 24,716 are in quarantine centers across the nation.
With this, the national COVID-19 caseload has reached 17,061 including 10,328 cases of recovery and 38 death cases.
