Kathmandu, Feb. 15: The meeting of the parliamentary party of the ruling party Nepali Congress is underway.
Congress Whip Pushpa Bhushal informed that the meeting of the Congress Parliamentary Party is underway at the Lhotse Hall of the Parliament House in Baneshwor.
A motion of impeachment against Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana was registered in the Parliament Secretariat with the signatures of 98 lawmakers from the three parties of the ruling coalition.
The impeachment motion requires a two-thirds majority in parliament to pass. For this, the government has to coordinate with all parties.
The meeting is being held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
