Kathmandu, Dec. 17:
Commission for Investigation and Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Narayan Chaudhary, chief administrator of Guthi Corporation and Jaya Regmi, deputy administrator, on the charges of corruption.
According to the press release issued by CIAA, Chaudhary and Regmi had taken bribe and then returned it in an ongoing case of whether or not to ascertain land situated at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-1 as Guthi land.
The chief and deputy administrators were arrested on the basis of adequate information and proof, read the press release.
Chaudhary and Regmi were arrested on Tuesday afternoon, from the office of Guthi Corporation, Tripureshwor, informed Pradip Kumar Koirala, Spokesperson of CIAA.
