By Our Correspondent, Chitwan, Jan. 17: At least 2 were killed and 30 tourists were injured when a tourist bus hit a truck moving in front of it on Friday morning at Ram Nagar, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1.
The deceased have not been identified.
Among 21 injured tourists, 13 are undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College and 8 are at Old Medical College in Chitwan. Of the injured, condition of some is critical according to the police.
Other 10 have sustained minor injuries.
According to Chitwan District Police Offie, the tourist bus with registration number Ba 1 Pa 783 knocked the truck with resigtration number Lu 2 Kha 3305 from behind. After hitting the truck, the deflected bus had also struck a house at the road side and injured a woman. Both the truck and the bus were heading to Narayangadh.
Note: We had published that two Chinese nationals had died in the accident. The Chinese Embassy denied this information.
