By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 22: Central Committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) as called by the faction led by one of the NCP Chairmen Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and senior leader Madhav Nepal faction has started at a party palace at Babarmahal.
The other faction led by another NCP Chairman KP Sharma Oli, also the Prime Minister, has already held its CC meet at Baluwatar this morning.
NCP Central Committee member, Bishnu Rijal, said that the CC meeting called by Prachanda-Nepal faction started at 2:00 pm, an hour later than it was scheduled.
NCP spokesperson, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, argued that crisis had engulfed the party with another Chair Oli handling the party in an autocratic manner.
Saying that the House of Representatives (HoR) was dissolved using rights not given by the constitution, Shrestha stated that the move was autocratic, regressive and self-willed.
He said the Prime Minister's move to dissolve the HoR was an attack on democracy.
