By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Apr. 26: The COVID-19 recovery rate in Banke district, which has become the hotspot of the virus since April, has also been on the rise lately.
As the number of infections and death count is increasing daily, the recovery rate is also increasing in a huge number simultaneously.
A total of 125 COVID-19 patients including a seven-year-old boy and a 73-year-old elderly were discharged from the institutional isolation on Monday as they recovered from the infection, informed Tej Oli, COVID-19 focal person of Banke.
"With this, 426 people have already recovered from the infection in the last two weeks," said Oli.
According to the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre, Banke, of the 54,571 RT-PCR tests done until now in Banke, 7,497 had tested positive for the virus, of which, 5,128 patients have already recovered from the infection.
The Banke DCCMC said that the recovery rate would continue increasing in the upcoming days.
