By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, June 25: As many as 23 COVID-19 patients of Banke have been discharged from the hospital after recovering from the virus on Thursday.
According to Naresh Shrestha, Focal Person of Banke District Health Office, 12 COVID-19 patients of Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality-7, four of Kohalpur, five of Khajura and three of Nepalgunj were discharged after testing negative for COVID-19.
Prior to this, nine persons of Banke were discharged on Wednesday, added Shrestha.
Currently, 59 COVID-19 patients are receiving treatment in isolation in the district.
“In few days, all COVID-19 patients will recover from the virus and the district will be declared as COVID-19 free zone. After that, tracing of other COVID-19 infected people will be done,” added Shrestha.
Out of 350 COVID-19 patients two have succumbed to COVID-19 and 291 have recovered from the virus infection.
According to the district health office, around 1,100 people are placed in quarantine.
