By Dipak Gyawali, Butwal, June 10: The police investigation into the Rupendehi massacre concluded that five people were murdered in a cow farm at Mainahiya, Rupandehi on Monday nigt by a single person.

Considering the massacre as a sensitive case, a special investigation team of State 5 had conducted the investigation.

The team led by SSP Rajkumar Baidbar, spokesperson of State Police, had reached the crime site on the same day.

In a press meet organised on Wednesday, SSP Baidbar said, "Although there were a lot of ups and downs in the investigation, we have concluded that five people were killed by one person."

The police had detained Jhasendra Sinjali on the charge murdering all the five.

SSP Hem Thapa of Rupandehi Police said that accused Sinjali had already confessed his crime, stating that he killed the five out of anger.

Allegation of sexual assault on animal

According to the initial investigation of police, the accused was also charged with sexually assaulting the animals of the farm.

While giving the statement to the police, accused Sinjali said, "My wife and I got separated and she had made many baseless allegations on me. Due to this, I lost my senses."

Sinjali also confessed that he had sexually assaulted the animals in the farm.

The locals have said that the accused was mentally unstable. He has also been changing his statements time and again.
