By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb. 6: With 99 new cases of the novel coronavirus confirmed on Saturday, the national COVID-19 tally has reached 271,806.
"In 2,794 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 99 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2," informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its daily update.
Of the 99 new cases, 66 were reported in the Kathmandu Valley.
Currently, there are 1,959 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation of which 95 individuals are in quarantine.
Nepal has now recorded 267,812 cases of recoveries and the recovery rate is at 98.5 per cent.
No fatalities from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the COVID-19 death toll to 2,035.
