By Kamal Sharma, Dailekh, June 26: As many as 63 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in isolation center set up at Bhairab Secondary School fled from the isolation center on Thursday night.
Due to some delay in serving the evening meal, 63 COVID-19 patients fled from the isolation center on Thursday night, complaining that the Rural Municipality had not provided adequate service to them, informed Naumule Area Police Office.
The police had received the information about escaping of the COVID-19 infected people on Friday Morning.
"Around 5-7 patients who had sneaked out of the isolation have been re-admitted for treatment while the police have been searching other patients," informed Bhupendra Shahi, Chief, Dailekh Health Branch.
Due to failure of Naumule Area Police Office in commanding the search operation, a security team led by Inspector Nain Bahadur Saud from Dailekh District Police Office has been deployed to search the escapists.
There were 92 COVID-19 patients in the isolation center.
