By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Sept. 18: As many as 60 persons returned home getting over COVID-19 in Banke district on Friday.
According to Banke District Health Office, 60 persons including a woman aged 60 who were staying and getting treatment in different isolation centers in the district were discharged after recovering from the virus infection.
Naresh Shrestha, Corona focal person of Banke, said 19 females and 41 males who were kept in isolation centers after they tested positive for COVID-19 on September 3 were sent home providing them with certificate of recovery after 14 days in isolation as they did not show any symptoms of COVID-19.
He said total number of recovered COVID-19 patients in Banke had reached 1,192 including the 60 persons recovered today.
Shrestha said presently there were 345 infected persons including three persons who come from the other districts in different isolation centers in the district.
According to Banke District Health Office, so far 1,576 persons in the district have been found infected with the novel coronavirus and of them, nine patients, five males and four females, have succumbed to COVID-19.
