By Tara Chapagain Dube, Pokhara, June 25: Gandaki State has recorded yet another COVID-19 death.
A 55-year old COVID-19 patient of Sirubari, Syangja receiving treatment in ventilator at Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences breathed his last on Wednesday night at 11:35 PM, informed the academy.
The deceased was also suffering from chronic pneumonia and diabetes.
Prior to this, a 58-year old male from Waling, Syangja had died of COVID-19 in Gandaki State.
11 test COVID-19 positive in four districts
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 case load in Gandaki State reached 753 on Thursday.
In Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test done at State Tuberculosis Center, Pokhara and State Public Health Laboratory, Hetauda, 11 persons of four districts of the state were detected with COVID-19 infection, informed State Health Directoriate.
Six persons of Myagdi, two each of Baglung and Nawalpur and a person of Syangja were identified with the virus infection in Gandaki State in the last 24 hours.
Until now, SARS-CoV-2 infection has been confirmed in 183 persons of Nawalpur, 142 of Baglung, 135 of Syangja, 91 of Tanahun, 68 of Parbat and 72 of Gorkha.
All COVID-19 patients are receiving treatment in isolation centers set up in their respective districts, informed the directorate.
