As many as 42 people from Banke, Bardiya and Rolpa have been identified with COVID-19 infection.
19 people from Banke, six from Bardiya and 17 of Rolpa tested positive for the virus in Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test done at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj.
According to Dr Prakash Thapa, medical superintendent of Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj, out of 42 new cases, 15 were from Rapti Sponari Rural Municipality, three were from Khajura RM and one from Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City of Banke district.
Likewise, six people form Barbardiya of Bardiya, 12 from Sunilsmriti RM of Rolpa and five from Bamruk RM were detected with the virus infection.
