By Homraj Ranabhat, Kawasoti, Sept. 18: A 31-year-old male of Devchuli Municipality succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in Nawalparasi (East) on Thursday night.
He died at 12:18 am on Thursday night while receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur.
Dr. Dayaram Lamsal, director of Bharatpur Hospital, said that he was admitted to the hospital on September 10 after having some difficulties in breathing. He was found to have been infected with the novel coronavirus on September 11.
Nawalparasi (East) has recorded six COVID-19 deaths until now.
