By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 24: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 224 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley today.
In 10,234 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done across the nation in the last 24 hours, as many as 224 persons were found with the virus infection in the Kathmandu Valley itself, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
Of the new cases of COVID-19, 177 were detected in Kathmandu, 14 were detected in Bhaktapur and 33 were detected in Lalitpur.
Moreover, some 743 cases of virus infection were recorded across the nation on Monday, taking the national tally to 32,678 including 18,806 cases of recovery and 157 death cases.
