By Janarjan Khatri, Sarlahi, Jan 18: As many as 16 people have been injured when a passenger bus collided along the East-west Highway at Nocha of Hariban Municipality-9 in Sarlahi district.
The bus with registration number Na. 5 Kha 5055 going to the east from the west lost its control and overturned in the afternoon.
The bus of the Agni Yatayat was going to Kakarvitta from Pokhara, according to the police.
Of the injured, 15 are undergoing treatment at Namuna Hospital at Hariban. Bhupendra Giri, the police inspector at the Hariban police post, said that the condition of the injured is normal.
A passenger, Bimala Senchuri, 36, of Bardibas Municipality-2 of Mahottari, has been referred to Birgunj for further treatment.
The driver of the bus absconded after the accident.
