By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 9: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Friday confirmed 1,409 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.
In 1,3279 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,409 persons , 527 females and 882 males, were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, revealed the daily report released by the MoHP today.
Of the 1,409 new cases, 1,116 cases, 409 females and 707 males, were detected in Kathmandu, 130 cases, 57 females and 73 males, were found in Bhaktapur and 163 cases, 61 females and 102 males, were recorded in Lalitpur.
Moreover, some 2,059 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Thursday, taking the national tally to 100,676 including 73,023 cases of recovery and 600 death cases.
