12 COVID-19 related deaths confirmed, death toll crosses 200, reaches 207

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 29: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Saturday confirmed 12 COVID-19 related deaths.

Three females and nine males succumbed to the virus infection in the last 24 hours, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Three females, a 30-year-old from Palpa, a 51-year-old from Kathmandu and a 62-year-old from Bhaktapur and nine males, two aged 48 and 39 of Parsa, an 84-year-old of Siraha, a 38-year-old of Gorkha, a 58-year old of Kaski, an 83-year-old of Kathmandu, two aged 72 and 61 of Lalitpur and an 82-year-old of Bhaktapur, who were infected with the novel coronavirus, died in the last 24 hours.

With this, the COVID-19 death toll has reached 207. The death rate is o.55 at per cent.
