Rajbiraj, June 24 : Youths planted rice on the street to protest delay in the maintenance of the road along the Bhardaha-Rajbiraj road section at Tilathi Koiladi rural municiplaity-8, Topa in Saptari.
A section of agitating youths demonstrated protest on Tuesday for the concerned authorities turning deaf to carry out necessary maintenance of the road in shambles.
Kaushal Yadav, a youth from the same ward, said the road becomes dusty in dry season and muddy ion the rainy season in lack of maintenance.
"The local and federal governments did not show any concern to the maintenance of deteriorating road for over one and half years. So they resorted to plant paddy on the road to protest the inaction of authority", he added.
The road has witnessed recurrent trend of accidents when the authorities do not show any interest to improve road condition.
