By Shiva Raj Dhungana, Achham, June 8: A youth who got critically injured after he attempted suicide by self-immolation for reportedly being kicked out of his job died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kohalpur.
The deceased, Siddhant Aauji, a resident of Sanphebagar Municipality-6, had spread petrol over his body and set fire on in front of the emergency ward of Bayalpata Hospital today morning.
Narapati Bhatta, Police Inspector of Area Police Office of Sanphebagar, shared that he got information that the youth, despite being rescued by a helicopter a few hours after his attempted suicide for treatment in a hospital in Kohalpur, died while undergoing treatment.
The deceased who was working as a sanitation worker of the Bayalpata hospital for over one and a half years was along with other 32 laid off as the hospital did not extend his contract period owing to financial crisis.
