Parbat, Feb 3 : A water supply project has been constructed and brought into operation at Okhaldhunga settlement, Bajung of Modi rural municipality-5 in the district, with the support of the Nepali Army's Kebaljung Campany.
The project was constructed at an investment of Rs 1.2 million. Of this amount, the Nepali Army provided one million rupees while the Modi rural municipality contributed local voluntary labour worth Rs 200 thousand.
The project has been completed in two months, benefitting 22 household of Okhaldhunga settlement. These households now have tap water at their house. Before this, the settlement had only two taps and water was supplied drawing it from a local stream.
Nepali Army's Western Division Headquarters Chief Binaya Bikram Rana and Modi rural municipality Chief Prem Poudel jointly inaugurated the water supply project.
