Kathmandu, July 21: CPN UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has urged the disgruntling faction led by Madhav Kumar Nepal to be united within the party in order to save the political career and communist movement.
In the third day of the ongoing central committee meeting on Wednesday, Chairman Oli made it clear that he was effortful to implement the 10-point agreement for the party unity.
He took time to claim that the recent Supreme Court verdict was against parliamentary system. It trampled people's aspiration. The government collapsed because of the betrayal of some leaders within the party, Oli reiterated. "I caution PM Sher Bahadur Deuba and Maoist Centre's Chairman Pushpakamal Dahal 'Prachanda' to not dream of impeaching the President and bring ordinance to split the UML," he announced in the meeting.
Similarly, party spokesperson Pradeep Gyawali shared that further decision on 22 lawmakers from the party including leader Madhav Kumar Nepal would be taken after they furnish response on the clarification sought on why they voted for NC President Deuba to be new prime minister, which Gyawali said, was against party policy.
