Rajbiraj, Jan 2: Two persons were killed when two motorcycles collided at Tulasi Tole of Saptakoshi Municipality-4 in Saptari district. The deceased have been identified as Subas Basnet of Kanchanrup Municipality-7 in Saptari district and Hari Shankar Chaudhary of Chaudandigadhi Municipality-9 in Udayapur district, both of them rider of the ill-fated motorcycles.
Both of them breathed their last at Golden Hospital in Biratnagar, said the district police office.
Four others--Mamata Sapkota, spouse of deceased Basnet and their eight-year-old son and one-year-old daughter and one Rohit Chaudhary--have been injured in the head-on collision. Of them, three were pillion passengers on the motorcycles. They were receiving treatment at a local health institution and investigations were underway, said the police.
