Dhading, July 3: Two people have died when two trucks were buried in a landslide triggered by heaving rainfall. The incident took place in Benighat Rorang rural municipality along the Prithivi highway.
Four other vehicles were damaged in the incident that took place in ward no. 10 of the rural municipality. The deceased have been identified as Birbal Chepang, 18, of Rapti municipality-6, Chitwan and Indian resident Soni Devi,43, according to Area Police Office, Gajuri.
They were in separate trucks when the incident took place. Chepang died in the truck itself while Soni died during treatment at Gandaki hospital in Pokhara, SP at the District Police Office, Dhading Mahendra Khadka said. Three injured in the incident are undergoing treatment in the same hospital.
