Misekh Thing, 21, son of Kai Dharmalal Thing and Gyan Bahadur Bholan, 35, son of Motilal Bholan of Lalbandi-15, were seriously injured when the wild elephant attacked them when they were returning on a motorcycle from a wedding party in Shirkalinjor, Parwanipur, at around 6:45 am on Sunday.

According to the Area Police Office, Lalbandi, both of them have been referred to Neuro Hospital, Birjung, for further treatment from Gadhimai Hospital, Lalbandi. The incident site is in the Chure area, about 7-kilometer north of Parwanipur Chowk.

Locals are terrified after a wild elephant suddenly appeared and attacked the two men. Although three wild elephants were seen in Sarlahi for three to four months in a row, no elephant was noticed in the district for a few weeks.
