Kathmandu, Sept 25: Police have arrested two Indian nationals with Rs 9.5 million without disclosing the source.
A team deputed from Metropolitan Police Sector, Nagdhunga, nabbed Sagar Mali, 26, and Krishna Adhade, 19, of Maharastra, India, with the amount on Friday night during a routine security checkup of vehicles entering Kathmandu Valley.
A press release issued today by Kathmandu Metropolitan Range mentioned that Rs 4.5 million was seized from Sagar while Rs 5 million was from Krishna.
Sagar and Krishna were travelling to Kathmandu from Chitwan in a microbus (Ga 1 Kha 6645). Both of them were arrested after they failed to disclose the source of the money they were carrying and further investigation into the case was underway, said police.
