Damak, Oct 9 : Two COVID-19 patients, one from Jhapa district and another from Saptari, have succumbed to COVID-19.
A 52-year-old man from Damak Municipality-9 in Jhapa died while undergoing treatment at Dharan-based B.P. Koirala Institute for Health Sciences (BPKIHS) died on Thursday.
He was admitted to the Hospital on October 4 where he had tested positive for COVID-19 on the PCR test.
With this, the number of people succumbing to the deadly infection in Jhapa district has reached 12.
Similarly, another COVID-19 infected elderly person from Saptari district also died due to the deadly infection.
The 67-year-old man from Dakaneshowri Municipality-4 in the district was availing treatment at his home-isolation since he was confirmed to have contracted the Coronavirus.
The elderly, who was also suffering from pneumonia, was rushed to BPKIHS after his health went on to deteriorate.
He breathed his last on Thursday evening on the way to the Hospital, informed Duniyalal Yadav, chief of the District Health Office, Saptari.
With this, the COVID-19 causality caseload in the district has reached 18.
