Dhanusha, Feb 4: Two children died after a tree crushed them in Dhanusha on Friday. The deceased have been identified as eight-year-old Pratima Kumari Sada, daughter of Mahendrra Sada of Sabaila municipality-12 and seven-year-old Arbind Sada, son of Chandeswor Sada, shared Superintendent of Police (SP) Basanta Rajaure.
Both the kids sustained critical head injuries after the tree crushed them on the premises of Fakirchand Secondary School Barkurwa at Sabaila-12. They breathed their last on the way to hospital for treatment, SP Rajaure informed.
The windstorm that has occurred since Thursday evening has affected life in Madhes Province.
Meanwhile, the windstorm had blown away straw-made roof of the houses at rural area in Dhanusha. Data collection of the loss incurred due to natural disaster is underway in the district, police informed.
