Chitwan, Dec 26 : A spotted adult tiger was found dead at a community forest under the Chitwan National Park here.
The endangered wild beast was found dead at Bedghari community forest in Thori rural municipality-3 in Parsa on Wednesday.
Chitwan National Park's Chief Conservation Officer Narayan Rupakheti said the tiger died in-fighting according to a preliminary report.
A team from the CNP with doctors would bring the dead tiger to Kasara, Rupakheti shared. Locals had informed the police after they saw the dead spotted tiger while cutting grass.
"The tiger has bruises across its body", he said, adding it might have been killed in fighting with another tiger. Post-mortem will take place today, CNP sources said.
