Three schools built with Indian help inaugurated

Kathmandu, Apr. 25: Karun Bansal, first secretary of the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, along with officials of the District Coordination Committee of Palpa, the respective school management committees and local representatives virtually inaugurated the newly constructed buildings of Shree Rambha Higher Secondary School, Shree Laxmi Higher Secondary School and Shree Nava Adarsha Multiple Campus on Thursday and Friday. All the three institutions are located in Palpa.
Issuing a press release, the embassy informed that the schools were built with a financial assistance of Rs. 98.37 million provided by the Government of India under the ‘Nepal-Bharat Development Cooperation.’
A three-storey building with 17 classrooms, laboratory, sanitation facilities for boys and girls compound wall and office rooms was built with a grant of Rs. 32.17 million for Shree Rambha Higher Secondary School. A two-storey building with eight classrooms, two office rooms, two teacher rooms, 22-bed hostel, water tank and sanitation facilities was built with a grant of Rs. 41.36 million for Shree Laxmi Higher Secondary School. A two-storey building with 13 classrooms, library, laboratory and sanitation facilities was built with a grant of Rs. 24.84 million for Shree Nava Adarsha Multiple Campus.
The newly built infrastructures are expected to boost learning environment of students.
Government of India is pleased to be associated with the project which compliments the effort of Government of Nepal in augmenting infrastructure in the field of education, the release read.
