Gorkha, Feb 22: Three members of a single family at Barpak of Sulikot Rural Municipality-1 in Gorkha district have been found dead today morning.
The deceased have been identified as Dil Bahadur Gurung, 84, his daughter in-law Aita Kumari Gurung, 22, and 13-year-old granddaughter Usha Gurung.
The villagers suspecting bad after they did not show up outside even in the late morning broke into the house of Dil Bahadur and found them dead. Shortly, they reported the incident to the police. The locals suspect that they might have died from the consumption of poisonous mushroom as they were found foaming at the mouth.
A team from the Area Police Office, Jaubari led by Inspector Ishwor Laudari has been dispatched to the incident site, said Superintendent of Police Surendra Bahadur Gurung. Detail of the incident would come only after the police launch investigations, he said.
