Inaruwa, June 27: Three people died in a road accident at Koshi Rural Municipality-8 of Sunsari district on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Uday Sah, 28, of Dakneshwori-5 of Saptari; Ram Prasad Sah, 45, of Biratnagar-9 and Akhsya Kumar Gupta, 40, of Biratnagar-7, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Saptari, Narendra Kumar Karki.
The accident took place when a micro bus (Ba 3 Kha 7224) heading towards west from east hit a motorcycle (Sa 6 Pa 4661) and a pickup van (Ko 1 Cha 9368) coming from opposite direction hit them.
Uady was motorcyclist while Ram Prasad was pillion rider. Similarly, Gupta was pickup van driver.
All of them died while receiving treatment at District Hospital, Inaruwa, added DSP Karki.
Injured microbus driver Bibas Tamang, 35, of Bidur Municipality in Nuwakot and helper Narayan Basyal, 25, are undergoing treatment at Biratnagar-based Biratnagar Hospital. Police have impounded all three vehicles, according to Sunsari Police.
