Rupandehi, Jan 28 : Three persons died and two others were seriously injured in a road accident at Rohini rural municipality of Rupandehi district this morning.
The deceased have been identified as Lalu Kurmi, 35, and Mobikan Kurmi, 30, of Palhinanda rural municipality-4 of Nawalparasi district and Purna Bahadur Bhujel, 36, of Chatara of Sunsari district, according to the State Traffic Police Office.
The accident took place when three trucks—Lu 1 Kha 6745, Na 2 Kha 8481 and Na 5 Kha 7856 collided with each other at Sipagadh of Rohini rural municipality-4.
The truck Lu 1 Kha 6745 was heading towards Parasi from Bhairahawa while two others were en route to Bhairahawa from Parasi.
Similarly, Dube Harijan, 47, of Palhinanda rural municipality-4 of Nawalparasi and Mohan Rai, 27, of Satamata of Sindhuli were critically injured in the incident. Both the injured are receiving treatment at Bhairahawa-based Bhim Hospital, said police.
