Okhaldhunga, Sept 16: Three persons died in a road accident at Manthali of Ramechhap this morning.
The accident took place when a Bolero jeep (State 3-01-023 Cha 3513) heading towards Okhaldhunga from Kathmandu plunged into Tamakoshi river after falling off a Boke cliff at Hattitar along the Khurkot-Manthali road section.
"The deceased have been identified as the jeep driver Lakpa Sherpa of Khijidemba Rural Municipality-6 of Okhaldhunga district, his wife Phurba Sherpa and jeep owner Wangsen Sherpa," said Information Officer at the District Police Office, Ramechhap, Shree Shankar Shrestha.
All of them died on the spot in the incident. A 12-year-old Pemba Sherpa, who was injured in the accident, is in critical condition, said police.
