Syangja, Oct. 11: Three persons were killed and 14 were injured when a jeep met with an accident near the local Armadi river at Waling-10 in the district on Sunday evening. The jeep fell 50 metres off the road.
The deceased have been identified as Dal Bahadur Palli, 77; Ganga Palli, 32, and four-year-old Karishma, all of Galyang Municipality. Dal Bahadur and Ganga died at a Waling-based primary health institution and Karishma at Manipal Hospital in Pokhara, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad Adhikari. Fourteen injured are undergoing treatment. A total of 19 passengers were travelling on the ill-fated vehicle.
