Simkot, Jan 25 : A temporary police post has been set up at Tumcha of Sarkegad Rural Municipality-1 in Humla district.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Heramba Sharma informed that the temporary police post was set up in response to public demand near the border of Mugu district. The locals had been demanding the police post for years.
It is said the police post has ensured peace and security in the area. The post is currently running from a rented house. Sarkegad Rural Municipality is to provide the room fare for the police post for a year.
There are 10 police persons under the command of assistant inspector. Earlier, police used to patrol the area. Both the locals and police have been facilitated with the establishment of the police post.
The police post looks after the security situation of Sarkegad and Adanchuli area.
