Kathmandu, Dec 7 : Tarakeshwor Municipality is to provide Rs 5,000 to its denizens who are in home isolation after contracting COVID-19. The municipality is giving the money as 'nutrition allowance'.
Municipality's Information Officer Homnath Neupane said the monetary support would be distributed to the beneficiaries in coordination with the municipality wards and the health section.
The number of people with COVID-19 in the municipality is 2086, including 866 women and 1,220 men.
The number of those recovered from the infection is 1,829. Seven people have died of the disease and the number of active cases is 250 so far.
