Kathmandu, Aug.1: Five student unions affiliated to the opposition alliance have demanded quick investigation over the Darchula Tuin incident and immediate action against the culprit.
GP Mainali, deputy general secretary of All Nepal National Free Student’s Union-Revolutionary, said, “The delegations of the students’ alliance have handed over a memorandum to the Prime Minister, demanding strict punishment to the perpetrators.”
On Friday, Jaya Singh Dhami, a 33-year-old local of Byas Rural Municipality-2, had fallen into the Mahakali while crossing the river via Tuin, a traditional ropeway, after the rope was cut from the other side.
