Biratnagar, Nov 10: A total of 18 State Assembly (SA) members in State 1 are undergoing training on proper use of social media and social networking.
The two-day training organized by Innovative Vision in association with the Parliament Cooperation Project commenced here on Sunday.
State Assembly Spokesperson Pradeep Kumar Bhandari said the social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Viber among others and internet-based media were very powerful medium. Emphasizing the positive attitude, he viewed that the journalists should not be biased and but use social media to disseminate credible and accurate news to as many as audience promptly rather than spreading misleading ones.
Federation of Nepalis Journalists (FNJ) State 1 committee president Bikram Luitel, Parliamentary Journalist Forum's Chairperson Ganesh Lamsal, Innovative Vision's Chairperson Krishna Prasad Sigdel among other trainers univocally called for caution while using social media as the misuse of social media could tarnish anyone's image in no time.
