By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 8: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agni Prasad Sapkota, underwent a cataract surgery today.
Speaker Sapkota had surgery of his left eye at Tilganga Eye Hospital here.
A team led by senior ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Ruit performed the surgery at about 10:30 this morning, according to Sapkota's personal secretariat.
Speaker Sapkota was having eye problems lately and he was advised by the doctors for eye surgery.
All the costs of the treatment will be borne by the Speaker himself, no money will be used from the state coffer in this regard, Sapkota's secretariat mentioned.
Speaker Sapkota is having a rest after surgery and he has expressed thanks to the team including Dr. Ruit and the Tilganga hospital family involved in his eye surgery.
